Why certification matters

Certification is not a formality.
It is the foundation of trust.

The market reality

The global gemstone market includes highly respected laboratories — and a growing number of actors whose standards, methods, or independence are questionable.

For the untrained eye, certificates may appear similar. In reality, the differences are substantial.

At Vincentigue, certification is chosen deliberately, not conveniently.

Independent verification

Every laboratory report can be verified directly with the issuing laboratory.

Tip: Enter the report number shown on your certificate on the verification page.

Our choice for coloured gemstones: Guild Laboratories

After careful consideration, Vincentigue has selected Guild Laboratories as our primary certification partner for coloured gemstones.

Guild is known for:

  • strict analytical standards
  • transparent reporting
  • conservative colour and treatment assessments
  • independence from commercial trading

Why Guild fits our philosophy

Guild is recognised for analytical precision and conservative grading standards. Their reports focus on what a gemstone is — not how it could be marketed.

This aligns with our philosophy of restraint, precision, and long-term value.

Diamonds: GIA and IGI

For diamonds, Vincentigue works exclusively with GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and IGI (International Gemological Institute).

Both laboratories are internationally recognised and widely accepted within the fine jewellery and diamond trade.

GIA is regarded as the global benchmark for diamond grading.

IGI is used selectively, particularly for diamonds intended for contemporary jewellery contexts, where consistency and accessibility are essential.

What certification does — and does not — do

A certificate confirms: gemstone identity, natural origin where applicable, treatment status, and measurable characteristics such as weight, dimensions, and cut.

A certificate does not determine beauty, desirability, or future value on its own.

Those qualities are judged through experience.

One stone. One report.

Every gemstone offered by Vincentigue is accompanied by its own independent laboratory report.

No shared certificates. No assumptions. No substitutes.

Because transparency is not optional.

Transparency is not an add-on. It is the standard.
